Educate for planetary ethics

The future of education depends on changing current social and environmental relationships and the promotion of a culture of peace and respect among people and for the environment, in order to achieve a decent future for everyone.

One of the tools we have at our disposal – unfortunately, it has not been incorporated in the classrooms of our educative institutions yet -, is the document that promotes the principles of “The Earth Charter” and the commitment to participating in the defense of a code of living in community that is based on “eco-education”.  Concepts such as ecological integrity, respect and care for the community of life, social and economic justice, democracy, non-violence and peace demand that we promote alternatives and make a call to action to raise awareness of “planetary ethics”, a commitment to ourselves, to others and to nature.
